Spark Power Corp. (“Spark Power”) is pleased to announce that Don Morrison has joined the organization as our newest Advisory Board member.
With an impressive CV, Don is an experienced Private Equity Business Leader, where he has led Direct Investment, Fund Investment and Co-Investment portfolios.
Don comes to us with over 30 years of experience and leadership in the financial advisory and private equity markets. He is presently an Independent Corporate Director/ Advisor and was recently the Senior Managing Director and Executive Vice President, Asset Management and Operations for OMERS Private Markets (OPM), which consists of OMERS Private Equity (OPE) and Borealis Infrastructure. As a senior member of the OPM Investment team, Don managed $20.0B of private equity and infrastructure investments. He established and led the direct investment platform of OPE and developed the Canadian Team, growing the operation to $7.5B in Assets under Management.
Previous roles include Senior Vice President, and member of the Senior Management / Investment Committees at Working Ventures Canadian Fund, where he also led the Portfolio Management Group. He also spent several years at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Corporate Finance focusing on restructurings and turnarounds.
