Adam Thirtle

Adam Thirtle is Spark Power’s Vice President of Information Technology. With over 20 years of experience in IT across multiple global-scale organizations, Adam is responsible for leading Spark Power's IT operations, including the Service Desk, Infrastructure, and Applications.

 
Adam's career began at Lehman Brothers, a global bank, where he developed his expertise in financial IT systems. He then joined Trafigura, a global commodities trading company, where he spent 14 years in various leadership roles, ultimately becoming the Head of IT for the Americas. At Trafigura, he oversaw large teams and extensive operations, gaining valuable experience in IT leadership and strategic management.

Adam has also held significant positions at Allegro, a global IT provider, Suncor, a leading energy company in Canada, and Hydro One, a major Canadian utilities company. These roles further solidified his skills in managing IT operations and driving technological innovation.

 
Since joining Spark Power in April 2022, Adam initially served as the Director of Applications before being promoted to Vice President of Information Technology. His leadership and vision have been pivotal in advancing the company's IT initiatives and ensuring the efficiency and security of its IT infrastructure.

 
Adam holds a degree in Business from the University of Wales, Swansea, and is a qualified professional Accountant (CIMA in the UK, equivalent to CMA in Canada). This unique combination of IT proficiency and financial acumen allows him to approach challenges with a comprehensive and strategic perspective.

Cody Zaitsoff

Joe Brotherton

Joe is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Spark Power. With extensive experience in companies like Helix, Cypress, MaxGen, and McCarthy, Joe brings a wealth of expertise in driving business growth and operational excellence. Passionate about sustainability, he is committed to leading Spark Power towards continued success and innovation in the energy solutions industry.

Bill Richardson

Bill Richardson is the VP of Renewables at Spark Power, bringing over 16 years of extensive experience in the solar industry, distinguished by his ability to grow strong businesses and build dynamic teams. He most recently served as the CEO of Sounder Solutions, where he provided consulting services to the renewable energy sector, specializing in engineering, design, troubleshooting, and QA/QC services.

Curtis Brandt

Curtis is Spark Power’s VP of Technical Services. Curtis brings 28 years of unparalleled expertise in the electrical services industry, having served in key operational and business development roles at industry leaders such as Magna Electric Corporation and Shermco Industries. His vast experience encompasses the full spectrum of North American heavy industrial power systems, including high voltage (HV), medium voltage (MV), and low voltage (LV) systems, from maintenance and commissioning to comprehensive turnkey services.

Nadia Fortino

Nadia Fortino is the interim Vice President of People and Culture at Spark Power. With a solid background in Employee Relations and Performance Management, she developed and led the HR department for North and South America at Winoa North America. Nadia holds the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation in Canada and the Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation in the United States. She earned her BA in Political Science from Brock University and her MA in Politics from the University of Sheffield in the UK.

Deeksha Sharma

Deeksha Sharma is the Director of Strategy and Corporate Development at Spark Power, bringing over a decade of global experience across multiple industries. Since 2017, she has played a key role in Spark’s growth, guiding the company through its go-private transaction and leading strategic initiatives. With a strong background in M&A within the electrical sector, Deeksha has also driven transformative projects for top-tier organizations like American Express, Exp Services Inc., and General Motors. She holds a BBA in Finance and Economics from Brock University.

Paul Demarco

Paul Demarco is the Director of Risk, Compliance, and Legal at Spark Power, offering solutions-oriented legal advice to teams across the company. Before joining Spark Power, Paul practiced law, focusing on corporate mergers and acquisitions, business risk management, and commercial real estate. He holds a Juris Doctor from Western University and is a Barrister & Solicitor in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
