History
New Electric first opened its doors in 1970 in Oakville, ON. At first, New Electric provided electrical wiring services in homes, shops, and factories throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Over the years, New Electric expanded its service offerings to include electrical contracting, emergency service, custom control panels, industrial automation, and more.
Today, New Electric has branches across Canada and in the United States. And while New Electric continues to grow, its priorities remain the same: to create a safe work environment; to remain on the cutting edge of the electrical contracting industry, and; to act with professionalism. New Electric can be found working in some of the some of the biggest manufacturing plants, food processing facilities, and sporting stadiums in Canada.
Joining Spark Power
Spark Power acquired New Electric in 2017 in order to provide a complete, end-to-end suite of low voltage service offerings. With this acquisition, Spark Power now offers a total “pole to product” solution for the industrial, commercial, institutional, and utility markets.
