Deeksha Sharma is the Director of Strategy and Corporate Development at Spark Power, where she channels over 10 years of international experience into steering the company’s strategic direction. Since joining Spark in 2017, Deeksha has been instrumental in the company’s evolution, notably guiding it through a successful go-private transaction and leading critical strategic initiatives that have bolstered Spark’s market position.
 

Her deep expertise in mergers and acquisitions within the electrical industry has equipped Deeksha to navigate complex transactions with precision, ensuring that Spark Power remains agile and forward-thinking in a competitive landscape. Deeksha’s career also spans impactful roles in the engineering and travel sectors, where she led transformative projects for industry giants such as American Express, Exp Services Inc., and General Motors, aligning their strategic ambitions with actionable outcomes.

 

A graduate of Brock University with a BBA in Finance and Economics, Deeksha combines her academic rigor with a proven track record in driving corporate growth and development. Her strategic vision and leadership continue to be a driving force behind Spark Power’s success and long-term growth.

Richard Jackson

Richard is Spark Power’s President & Chief Executive Officer with over 20 years of leadership experience in industrial companies across North America. Richard leads all operations within Spark including designing the organization for long-term scalable growth, formulating and leading the execution of Spark’s corporate strategy, and driving functional and operating performance across the organization.

Cody Zaitsoff

Cody is Spark Power’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Cody is an experienced leader with a background in field engineering and system design services, Cody is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, including planning, risk management, and reporting.

Joe Brotherton

Joe is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Spark Power. With extensive experience in companies like Helix, Cypress, MaxGen, and McCarthy, Joe brings a wealth of expertise in driving business growth and operational excellence. Passionate about sustainability, he is committed to leading Spark Power towards continued success and innovation in the energy solutions industry.

Bill Richardson

Bill Richardson is the VP of Renewables at Spark Power, bringing over 16 years of extensive experience in the solar industry, distinguished by his ability to grow strong businesses and build dynamic teams. He most recently served as the CEO of Sounder Solutions, where he provided consulting services to the renewable energy sector, specializing in engineering, design, troubleshooting, and QA/QC services.

Curtis Brandt

Curtis is Spark Power’s VP of Technical Services. Curtis brings 28 years of unparalleled expertise in the electrical services industry, having served in key operational and business development roles at industry leaders such as Magna Electric Corporation and Shermco Industries. His vast experience encompasses the full spectrum of North American heavy industrial power systems, including high voltage (HV), medium voltage (MV), and low voltage (LV) systems, from maintenance and commissioning to comprehensive turnkey services.

Adam Thirtle

Adam Thirtle is Spark Power’s Vice President of Information Technology, bringing over 20 years of IT experience from global organizations such as Lehman Brothers, Trafigura, Allegro, Suncor, and Hydro One. At Trafigura, he spent 14 years in leadership roles, culminating as the Head of IT for the Americas. Since April 2022, Adam has been at Spark Power, initially as the Director of Applications and now overseeing all IT operations as Vice President. He holds a Business degree from the University of Wales, Swansea, and is a qualified professional Accountant (CIMA in the UK, equivalent to CMA in Canada). Having lived and worked in the UK, USA, and Canada, Adam brings a global perspective to his role.

Nadia Fortino

Nadia Fortino is the interim Vice President of People and Culture at Spark Power. With a solid background in Employee Relations and Performance Management, she developed and led the HR department for North and South America at Winoa North America. Nadia holds the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation in Canada and the Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation in the United States. She earned her BA in Political Science from Brock University and her MA in Politics from the University of Sheffield in the UK.

Paul Demarco

Paul Demarco is the Director of Risk, Compliance, and Legal at Spark Power, offering solutions-oriented legal advice to teams across the company. Before joining Spark Power, Paul practiced law, focusing on corporate mergers and acquisitions, business risk management, and commercial real estate. He holds a Juris Doctor from Western University and is a Barrister & Solicitor in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
