Andrew Clark

Andrew is Spark Power’s Co-Founder & Vice Board Chair with over two decades of experience in the industrial manufacturing, merchant banking, and advanced energy sectors. Andrew’s primary focus is on the company’s Corporate Sustainability.

 

Prior to founding Spark, he held several executive-level operations and finance roles across multiple industries. His previous career experience includes:

  • Lending and Business Development, Bank of Canada
  • Operations & Finance, CPI Plastics Group Ltd.
  • Founding Director, Federation of Community Power Cooperatives
  • Chairman of the Board, Community Power Fund
  • Member, YPO/WPO Canada (Young President’s Organization / World President’s Organization
  • 2017 Entrepreneur of the Year™ Finalist in the Ontario Region, Power, Utilities and Environment category
  • Director, The Haven Toronto

A voice for environmental stewardship and Corporate Social Responsibility, Andrew is a passionate leader and advocate for advanced energy solutions who is frequently sought out by various private and not-for-profit boards, power panels, and CSR specialists to lend his perspective on the distributed grid, the rapidly changing power sector, and to inspire corporations to think about, consume, and generate electricity differently.

 

Andrew holds an MBA degree from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University.

Richard Jackson is the President & CEO of Spark Power, bringing over 25 years of leadership experience in the industrial and electrical services sectors. He’s responsible for driving Spark’s long-term growth strategy and operational performance across North America. Before joining Spark, Richard led North American operations at Winoa Group and held senior roles at Eaton Corporation and Shanahan’s. He sits on the board of Merit Ontario and is a founding member of The Luce Initiative, a fundraising organization supporting youth mental health.

Ali Assaf, Chief Commercial Officer

Ali is the Chief Commercial Officer, Technical Services at Spark Power. With global expertise in power generation, transmission, and decarbonization, he excels in project execution and stakeholder engagement. Ali is a results driven leader, responsible for driving commercial exellence in our Technical Services division.

Bill Richardson, Vice President of Renewables

Bill Richardson is the Vice President of Renewables at Spark Power, bringing over 16 years of extensive experience in the solar industry, distinguished by his ability to grow strong businesses and build dynamic teams. He most recently served as the CEO of Sounder Solutions, where he provided consulting services to the renewable energy sector, specializing in engineering, design, troubleshooting, and QA/QC services.

Curtis Brandt, Vice President of Technical Services

Curtis is Spark Power’s Vice President of Technical Services. Curtis brings 28 years of unparalleled expertise in the electrical services industry, having served in key operational and business development roles at industry leaders such as Magna Electric Corporation and Shermco Industries. His vast experience encompasses the full spectrum of North American heavy industrial power systems, including high voltage (HV), medium voltage (MV), and low voltage (LV) systems, from maintenance and commissioning to comprehensive turnkey services.

Paul Demarco, Director of Risk Compliance, and Legal

Paul Demarco is the Director of Risk, Compliance, and Legal at Spark Power, offering solutions-oriented legal advice to teams across the company. Before joining Spark Power, Paul practiced law, focusing on corporate mergers and acquisitions, business risk management, and commercial real estate. He holds a Juris Doctor from Western University and is a Barrister & Solicitor in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
