Steve Sousa

Steve Sousa is Spark Power's Chief Executive Officer, bringing more than 25 years of executive leadership experience in Canada's energy and utilities sectors. Steve's experience spans commercial strategy, business development, and large-scale operations, delivering measurable results and growth.

Prior to joining Spark Power, Steve served as Chief Commercial Officer at Valard, where he led the company's commercial division, business strategy, and market positioning. He has also held senior executive roles as President of SaskTel International and Chief Commercial Officer at SaskPower, building deep expertise in regulated utilities, infrastructure projects, and operational leadership.

As a leader, Steve is recognized for his ability to align teams, engage stakeholders, and foster innovation to achieve operational excellence. His strategic vision and results-driven approach enable Spark Power to advance its mission of delivering reliable, sustainable energy solutions.

Steve has been recognized as one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40 and has been featured in The Globe and Mail and other national business publications. His leadership positions Spark Power for growth and long-term client success.

Nadia Fortino, Vice President of Human Resources

Nadia Fortino is the Vice President of Human Resources at Spark Power. With a solid background in Employee Relations and Performance Management, she developed and led the HR department for North and South America at Winoa North America. Nadia holds the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation in Canada and the Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation in the United States. She earned her BA in Political Science from Brock University and her MA in Politics from the University of Sheffield in the UK.

Brad Nichols, Vice President, EHS & Operational Excellence

Brad Nichols brings over 25 years of experience in industrial safety, environmental management, and quality systems. At Spark Power, he leads the company’s EHS and Operational Excellence programs, driving a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Bill Richardson, Vice President of Renewables

Bill Richardson is the Vice President of Renewables at Spark Power, bringing over 16 years of extensive experience in the solar industry, distinguished by his ability to grow strong businesses and build dynamic teams. He most recently served as the CEO of Sounder Solutions, where he provided consulting services to the renewable energy sector, specializing in engineering, design, troubleshooting, and QA/QC services.

Sam Delisio, Vice President of Sales, Renewables

Sam Delisio is a seasoned energy industry leader with over 15 years of experience driving commercial growth across the renewables sector. At Spark Power, he leads business development efforts focused on scaling solar, battery storage, and wind solutions across North America.

Paul Demarco, Director of Risk Compliance, and Legal

Paul Demarco is the Director of Risk, Compliance, and Legal at Spark Power, offering solutions-oriented legal advice to teams across the company. Before joining Spark Power, Paul practiced law, focusing on corporate mergers and acquisitions, business risk management, and commercial real estate. He holds a Juris Doctor from Western University and is a Barrister & Solicitor in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
